What types of glasses lenses are available?

Transitions® lenses

Transitions Light Intelligent Lenses™ eliminates the need for separate prescription glasses and sunglasses. These lenses quickly darken when you're in bright sunlight and lighten to clear when back indoors. 

Transitions are available in a variety of different types, and Acuvue® even makes contact lenses with Transitions technology. 

High definition (HD) lenses

HD lenses use information from your digital eye scan to create a pair of lenses specifically for your eye measurements. A lab fabricates this type of lens specifically for the frames you choose, ensuring a perfect fit that doesn't distort your vision in any way. 

HD lenses can improve visual clarity and color perception while allowing you to see fine details better. This type of lens can work well for both single prescriptions and multiple prescriptions (progressive lenses, aka no-line bifocals or trifocals).  

Polarized lenses

Polarized lenses have a special treatment for filtering light. These lenses minimize glare and reduce eye strain. If the sun’s glare when outside is often blinding, these lenses could be ideal for you. 

The most common uses for polarized lenses include fishing, boating, golfing, and spending time in snowy environments. 

Scratch-resistant lenses

Scratch-resistant lenses have a special coating that can help you keep your glasses wearable for as long as possible. Many people scratch their lenses through daily wear-and-tear or even as they clean the lenses with the wrong materials.
